Step 1a. Share app-generated barcodes with your customers.

Embed customer IDs for a quick customer look-up, order status page for local pick-up validation, etc. The barcodes can be added to the customer's account page or distributed via email services, such as Shopify notifications, Shopify Email, Mailchimp and more.

Step 1b. Pair existing barcodes with customers.

Required if existing customer barcodes are encoded with values not recognizable by Shopify's customer search.

Step 2. Add customers to the POS cart.

Add the "Add customer" POS UI extension to the Smart Grid.
From the POS Smart Grid tap "Add tile" > "App" > "Barcodify - Customer Selector" > "Add customer" > "Save". Alternatively, if you prefer scanning barcodes with the mobile device's camera, add the "Add customer via camera" extension instead.
Tap the added extension and scan the customer's barcode.
